There are also other less important areas in Argentine where vine is cropped. These areas result marginal to grow Vitis Vinifera. Some of these areas are located in the center of the country, in the valleys of the western hills of Córdoba and the northern hills of San Luis, where they main varieties planted are Vitis Lambrusca and other American classes. The average annual rainfall exceeds the value of 750mm; and the rains, which mainly fall between October and March, constitute the key factor that limits cropping.
